Reverie
This Is How They Find Her
I didn’t plan this.
I’ve been deep in a writing paradox lately. I’m writing the final stretch of Casting Shadows. Its the kind of writing where days blur and the story starts to feel smarter than you. I love that space. That’s when I got sucker-punched by another book.
And then another.
Of course, I started them all.
Casting Shadows is nearly ready to be published. She’s steady and sure of herself. The third book followed quickly behind it, slipping into my hands like she’d been waiting. She’s been relentless, pouring words through me, offering a different lens on Elle, whispering secrets I’m not sure were ever meant to stay buried.
But the fourth book?
She’s different.
She didn’t ask to be written quietly. She didn’t wait her turn. Instead, she showed up early, out of order, insisting on being seen. So I’m changing the rules a little.
I’m going to drip her out here. Slowly, intentionally and just for my paid subscribers. Two chapters a month, alongside two of my usual free posts. A shared unfolding. A story that reveals itself the way it wants to.
And honestly?
I love that she’s arriving before the second and third books are finished.
Because if you know, you know…
time isn’t real.
Love, Mel

Some stories don’t begin when you write them.
They begin when they wake up.
